About
The story behind the show
No two people take the same path to success. What looks straightforward in hindsight is often shaped by uncertainty, missed opportunities, difficult tradeoffs, and the willingness to keep going.
The Journey was created out of a simple curiosity: What can we learn by asking people not just what they accomplished, but how they got there?
In each episode, Leo Young sits down with entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders to explore the moments that mattered, from early ambitions and first big risks to hard lessons, unexpected pivots, and the values that guide them today.
These conversations aren't about presenting a perfect formula. They're about seeing the full picture, learning from different paths, and taking useful perspectives into our own lives.
Our approach
We favor thoughtful questions over rehearsed talking points, specifics over vague motivation, and honest reflection over polished success stories. The goal is a conversation you'd want to have with someone you genuinely admire and want to understand.
What we believe
- Success means different things to different people, and those definitions change over time.
- The decisions and setbacks behind an achievement are often more useful than the achievement itself.
- Curiosity creates opportunities to learn across industries and backgrounds.
- The best conversations leave room for nuance, reflection, and unanswered questions.
